Environmental Audit and Management Systems
To fulfil environmental due diligence requirements for operations that involve existing or past activities, EcoSocio Analysts will perform an audit with defendable results. To accomplish this we use legally and internationally recognized procedures, laboratories, and approved field instruments. Knowledge of natural processes, GIS analysis, and a well thought-out sampling plan allows us to determine contamination pathways. To minimize the client's staff exposure we flag hazardous areas and suggest removal, neutralizing, and disposal techniques. We consider operational costs using current legislation requirements and the ALARA principle (as low as reasonably achievable).
An organization is considered to have complied with ISO 14000 if all components of an environmental management system (EMS) are present and functioning. We develop the EMS to enable the client to:
- Meet vendor requirements by demonstrating reasonable care;
- Reduce liability and the cost of insurance;
- Save on reduction of material and energy consumption;
- Improve relationship with controlling agencies;
- Enhance image to gain larger market share;
- Set objectives and measurable targets, roles and responsibilities;
- Train personnel to carry out new responsibilities;
- Establish new internal and external communication lines;
- Document poor practices and near misses of accidents at the worker level;
- Ensure continuous improvement through monitoring and auditing of key activities.
Specific services:
